Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team. The QC Technician is responsible for testing and inspecting ready mix concrete to ensure it meets the required specifications and industry standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product consistency, safety, and compliance with regulations and client requirements. The QC Technician works collaboratively with the team to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Some travel is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and standardized tests on fresh and hardened concrete (e.g., slump, air content, unit weight, temperature, compressive strength).
- Sample concrete from ready-mix trucks at job sites and batch
- Monitor the quality of raw materials (aggregates, cement, admixtures).
- Ensure mix designs meet project and client
- Assist in developing and maintaining mix designs and
- Record and report test results, maintaining accurate and organized
- Communicate test results and quality concerns to plant and project
- Calibrate and maintain testing
- Support the implementation of quality assurance procedures and company safety
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to concrete
- Report to assigned job area in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in policies and procedures manual, and OSHA and MSHA guidelines.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- ACI Field Testing Technician – Grade I certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- 1–3 years of experience in ready mix concrete testing or related field
- Knowledge of ASTM, ACI, and DOT testing
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and
- Proficient in basic math and computer
- Strong attention to detail and organizational
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to work in various outdoor conditions and travel to job sites as
- Previous experience in construction or heavy equipment operation is a
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand/power

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is exposed to airborne particles. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
