Project Superintendent -Heavy Highway
A Project Superintendent will coordinate and oversee potentially multiple heavy highway, municipality, and/or airport jobs simultaneously while maintaining a professional demeanor and ensuring quality work.
General Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Supervise the paving, grading and utility construction crews.
- Prioritize and perform all work placing safety first in all things.
- Assist in project planning and scheduling of crews and materials.
- Record daily time, production, and site conditions.
- Responsible for the training and performance of all subordinates.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with crews, foremen, superintendents, project managers and the public as necessary.
- Continually inspect work site, surveying for potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Perform a variety of tasks and duties that may change often as the work conditions require.
- Work within defined standards of accuracy.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to use arms and hand to reach for, handle and manipulate objects.
- Good communication skills to work effectively and safely.
- Kansas driver’s license in good standing -CDL a plus.
- Ability to work overtime, as required.
