Heavy Equipment Operators -Earthwork
Heavy Equipment Operators will have experience operating equipment such as scrapers, excavators, blades, compactors, skid steers, and dozers in all commercial and heavy highway earthwork applications.
General Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Schedule proper maintenance for all equipment with superintendent and shop management.
- Continually survey work site for potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Operate all equipment efficiently and safely following directions of foreman/superintendent.
- Perform a variety of tasks and duties that may change often as the work conditions require.
- Work within defined standards of accuracy.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to use arms and hand to reach for, handle and manipulate objects.
- Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
- Good communication skills to work effectively and safely.
- Ability to work overtime, as required.
