Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the asphalt roller. Seeking dedicated people with desire to learn and build a career while exceeding the highest quality of safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate the roller and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate
- Operate roller to compact fills, subgrades, and flexible bases to grade
- Drive roller in successive overlapping passes to compact
- May occasionally operate paving equipment, including: power broom, plate compactor, paving machine, shuttle buggy and/or vibratory roller.
- Other miscellaneous duties include but not limited to; equipment maintenance, assisting foreperson and/or crew members as needed.
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, inspectors, engineers, and the general public at all times.

- Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time;
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in company policy and OSHA/MSHA regulations.

Qualifications:
- Roller operator experience
- Knowledge of welding and general mechanics
- High school education or GED

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is exposed to airborne particles. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
