Automotive Mechanic
The successful candidate will be able to diagnose, problem solve, perform repairs and all maintenance for our fleet of trucks and vans. Kansas driver’s license in good standing a requirement.
General Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Inspect vehicle engine/mechanical/electrical components both visibly, and by utilizing computer diagnostic equipment to diagnose, repair, maintain and upgrade accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.).
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and resolve any mechanical issues.
- Communicate mechanical issues and needed repairs to shop management, foremen and superintendents.
- Perform a variety of tasks and duties that may change often as the work conditions require.
- Perform all work in a safe manner.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an auto mechanic.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Ability to continuously learn new technology as our fleet grows and changes.
- Must have basic computer and internet literacy.
- Must have the ability to read manufacturer’s drawings and manuals.
- Ability to use arms and hand to reach for, handle and manipulate objects.
- Good communication skills to work effectively and safely.
- Must observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- Kansas driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to work overtime, as required.
